About Me

Daniel de las Casas was born in Lima, Peru and raised in Miami, Florida.

Better known nowadays for his keen eye, Daniel first fell in love with Miami and Hip-Hop. He went on to study Music Business & Audio Engineering, which in turn inspired him to create and launch an independent label and build a recording studio — Dirty Money Entertainment.

For the next several years, he produced and recorded mixtapes with several respected artists all the way from his hometown to Atlanta and up and down Detroit.

His work and motivation caught the attention of the folks at MTV Networks, and so he took their job offer as a Pro-Tools Operator. Within 3 years of working for MTV Latin America he was promoted to Associate Producer for the MTV Music Awards (Latin America).

Nothing lasts forever. His time came to move on from MTV Networks and that’s when he decided to buy a camera and start taking pictures. He began to shoot as a hobby at The Vagabond, a Downtown Miami nightclub.

It wasn’t too long before Daniel found a new passion– photography.  He launched MiamiMayhem.com and was soon working with even bigger stars and shooting International artists including Skrillex, Swedish House Mafia, Laidback Luke, Afrojack, Steve Aoki, Crystal Castles,  La Roux, Lauryn Hill, A-Trak, Bloody Beetroots, Boys Noize, Dirty South, Diplo, Carl Cox, John Digweed, Annie Mac, and many, many more.

Daniel continues to maintain his website, MiamiMayhem.com, shoots occasionally for Miaminewtimes.com and has most recently joined Emortal.Co as one of the main contributing photographers.
